Job Summary An ideal candidate is well grounded in a scientific discipline and has experience performing routine and complex bench and/or instrumental analysis, has developed methods and procedures, and is well versed in polymer chemistry and has an understanding of free radicals (materials).   

Responsibilities

  • Supports R&D team
  • Testing of materials used for medical application
  • Material aging and shelf-life validation
  • Provides technical expertise on polymers
  • Utilizes research papers to support lab work
  • Develops methods & procedures
  • Troubleshooting
Requirements
  • 2-5+ years of related experience professionally or academically
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in a related field
  • Experience with lab tech
  • Strong understanding of polymer chemistry
Preferred
  • Experience using spectroscopies such as: FTIR, RAMAN, ESR
  • Experience with Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
  • Experience with gas chromatography (GC)
  • Instrumental analysis or complex bench experience
  • Understanding of free radicals (materials)
