Our Medical Device client in Plano, Texas is currently looking for an Engineer- Degreed IV/Senior Engineer to work on a 12-24 months contract with the possibility of extension/Direct hire. The selected person will be working an 8 am- 5 pm Monday to Friday.

 

We are looking for a professional engineer to provide sustainment support for embedded firmware/ software throughout the product lifecycle.

 

Candidate:

 

• BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

 

• 2+ years of working experience in firmware/ software engineering

 

• Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets

 

• Solid programming experience in C or C++

 

• Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems

 

• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and peer review

 

• Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components

 

• Strong documentation and writing skills

 

• Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems

 

• Experience in low-power circuit design.

 

Duties:

 

• Design and implement firmware/ software of embedded devices and systems from requirements for production and commercial deployment

 

• Design, develop, code, test, and debug system firmware

 

• Review code and design

 

• Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources

 

• Integrate and validate new product designs

 

• Provide postproduction support

 

• Interface with hardware design and development

 

• Review, generate, and approve related inputs such as drawings and specifications.

 

• Create efficient protocols for the validation of complex system functions and defines the validation process.
