    Our location in Alameda, CA, currently has an opportunity for a Embedded Software Engineer.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Work on software design, coding, and validating software, supporting verification and validation testing, and ensuring that all product development conforms to design specifications and coding standards for medical devices.

    • Implement software or testing designs efficiently using C, C++, or C#.

    • Work on problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

    • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

    • Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Science or related engineering or scientific field.  4 years relevant experience and a Bachelor degree or 2 years with MS degree. 

    • Excellent troubleshooting skills are a must. 

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

     

    PREFERRED

    • Good Knowledge on microprocessor architecture, experience in device driver and low level device interface design and development is a plus.

    • Experience in multitasking in RTOS software design and development is a plus.

    • Experience in applications programming and/or software development of embedded systems for safety critical products is a plus.

    • Experience in design, engineering, and testing of software contained in medical devices developed under the FDAs regulations for 510(k) or PMA products is preferred.
